Advanced First Aid Training & Certification

This October, A.D.A.P.T. is pleased to sponsor an advanced first aid training and certification program. The program is free and space is limited to 24 attendees, with priority given to residents of Atherton and 94027. Thank you to the Atherton Police Department for providing this opportunity.
Training and certification will be provided by 1st Five Minutes, a leader in basic life support and emergency first aid education. Topics may include the following: Shock, Severe Head Trauma, Effusive Bleeding, Chest Wounds and Ataxic Breathing, Crush Injuries, Impalement, Burns, Eye Injuries, CPR, Blue and Black Tarp Management, and Triage Exam Review.
When: A time commitment of 6 hours is required for training, plus 45 minutes for skills certification. Dates are listed below.
Training: Participants can join the training in one of two ways: either via Zoom on Tue Oct 12 and Thu Oct 14 from 6:00 PM to 9:15 PM, OR in person on Sat Oct 16 from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM at the Holbrook-Palmer Park Main House. The in-person training will include lunch.
Skills Certification: Skills certification will occur for everyone on Sat Oct 23 at Holbrook-Palmer Park. Each participant will be asked to select a 45-minute time slot between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Time slots will be chosen during the Training sessions.
